“Orange Coat Girl” is Melody Wells’ little brainchild of a blog, where she can be upfront and outspoken about her view of the corporate media world, the entertainment media and the problems they pose to society.

An East Coast girl with a love for the Southwest, Melody is a writer whose work has appeared in People magazine, Essence magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer and GO! magazine (and on the web). You can view her clips on the Articles pages of this blog.

Melody believes in journalism in the public interest, the Jeffersonian ideal of the 4th Estate, Noam Chomsky, and being skeptical of everything. She reads voraciously about politics, economics, gay people in history and anything written by Naomi Wolf.

In the wintertime, she wears an orange coat. She can be reached by email at go.melody.wells@gmail.com.
